This is what we do with your message:

Messages from students go via the advisor for educational quality, who takes these further with those responsible at the relevant departments or the management at NLA.
The person who receives and reads messages in the "Report" portal is bound by confidentiality.
Deviations related to information security will be handled by the security officer (CSO)
The Learning Environment Committee (LMU) will be informed about cases concerning the learning environment.
When you report a case, you can choose whether you want to provide your name or be anonymous.

This is important feedback in our work to continuously improve our physical and social study and work environment.When something can be betterIf you feel that the physical or social study environment is not as good as it should be, you can report this. Serious shortcomings or undesirable conditions

When is it necessary to blow the whistle, and not just speak up?

Whistleblowing is providing information about serious reprehensible conditions, primarily offenses and violations of general ethical norms. Whistleblowing may be particularly relevant if you as a student at NLA University College become aware of:
- unethical, illegal or criminal conditions related to the learning environment, pollution, corruption, misuse of public funds, abuse of authority
- errors or omissions that may endanger life or health.
- that fellow students or employees are being bullied, harassed or discriminated against in connection with their work at NLA University College.

Can I be anonymous?

You can report anonymously.

Your union representative, student council, student parliament, or student ombudsperson can also forward a report on your behalf. The recipient is obliged to take all reports seriously.

Anonymous reports are very difficult to deal with since they cannot be followed up with further questions.

Please note that anonymous accusations against employees rarely lead to good case management and action. In most cases, we need to know who you are in order to follow up the case in a responsible manner that safeguards the rights of both parties.

In conflict and harassment cases where the person reporting is a party to the case, you cannot demand anonymity. The person being reported against must have the opportunity to become familiar with the content of the report and defend themselves.

What principles apply to the handling of whistleblowing cases at NLA University College?

All inquiries should be taken seriously
All inquiries should be addressed immediately
Anonymous sources can be just as valuable as open sources
The different forms of notification should be valued equally

The notification system should be usable without fear of consequences
Whistleblowers should receive feedback within a reasonable time
Contradiction (all parties should have the opportunity to present their views on the matter)

Information Security and Privacy

Do you have questions or suspicions about fake emails (phishing), data fraud, data breaches, or other questions about IT security?

Contact the college's IT support immediately if you suspect data fraud or hacking. The case will be further handled by the college's Incident Response Team (IRT).

Report deviations related to information security and privacy

Deviations in information security and privacy occur when we do not comply with laws, regulations, and NLA's internal documents that regulate the use of ICT infrastructure and the processing of personal data. Deviations are mainly an information security breach in connection with work performance and work practice.
