As a (full) professor of public health &amp; rehabilitation, combined with the role of (full) professor of intercultural communication, I have a unique and interdisciplinary area of expertise.&nbsp;This dual expertise enables me to approach health and rehabilitation issues from a global and cultural perspective. 
Much of my research involves analyzing and addressing health challenges across cultures while understanding the importance of effective communication strategies in the face of diversity in society. This combination gives me a solid foundation for developing sustainable solutions and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration across the health, school, and community fields.

Education: Update education   My broad and interdisciplinary educational background includes a master's degree in economics, education as a publicly approved nurse in Norway and the EU, and a specialization in EMT with a specialization in emergency preparedness.   Furthermore, I obtained a master's degree in epidemiology and a subsequent doctorate from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oslo.   After my doctorate, I completed the national research leadership education, which gives me a solid foundation for combining management, administration, research, and public health-related issues in various academic and practical contexts.

Dissemination: Update dissemination Today I have extensive experience in communication, both nationally and internationally. As a research leader and previously as a research group leader, I have written articles, participated in interviews, and given lectures, nationally and globally.  My communication is characterized by a clear and engaging approach, often focusing on integration, equality, diversity education, and public health.  During my doctorate, I was also responsible for the annual national public health conference, where I served as project/conference leader with professional and organizational responsibility for planning and implementing.

Projects: Update projects   Over the past 30 years, I have had the privilege of working on several projects both within and outside academia - nationally and internationally.   My projects have spanned a wide range of areas. Everything from top management, and research to humanitarian work.   Among the most important projects I can mention the establishment of health care in war zones (Rwanda, Bosnia),  the development of schools for street children, low-threshold projects for drug addicts or undocumented migrants, language courses and integration projects for multilingual workforce and the relocation of logistics and warehouse for the National Hospital.   During the last 35 years I often have been responsible for the management and development of organizations, where I have implemented strategic changes and strengthened organizational capacity through various management projects.
