Transfer

You can apply for transfer to a bachelor's program if you are a student in one of the following one-year programs:

• One-year program in intercultural competence (campus Bergen, campus Kristiansand or online)
• One-year program in pedagogy
• One-year program in journalism
• One-year program in sports science

You must be an active student in a one-year program to apply for transfer to a bachelor's program.

There may be requirements that you have passed a certain number of credits in the one-year program to be granted a transfer.

You apply via NLA University College's Application Web. The application portal opens approximately March 1, and the deadline to apply is April 15.

We only grant transfers if there are available study places on the bachelor's program.

NLA University College offers the following studies in early childhood teacher education:

• Early Childhood Education Teacher, full-time (3 years), Bergen
• Early Childhood Education Teacher, collection-based (4 years), Bergen
• Early Childhood Education Teacher, collection-based (4 years), Oslo

• Previous education must be in accordance with NLA University College's study model (see study plan).
• The distribution of credits and the distribution of practical training days on the various subjects in previous education do not need to be identical to the education at NLA University College, as long as you have passed at least 20 credits per subject and the same number of practical training days.
• Specifically about application for the final year of study:
  • Applicants for the final year of study must apply for at least the bachelor's subject and specialisation (a total of 45 credits).
  • If you are granted a transfer and are to start in the final year of study, you will be given a place on the specialisation subject that has available places.

• Apply for admission through Samordna opptak. The application deadline is April 15.
• At the same time, contact the study advisor for the kindergarten teacher education program at NLA Høgskolen and notify them that you have applied. Also, state which subjects you have completed previously.
• If you are offered a place of study, you can apply for approval of previous subjects.

Then you will not be able to apply for transfer to the kindergarten teacher education program at NLA University College. This is because the subjects from the preschool teacher education program are no longer considered equivalent to the subjects in the kindergarten teacher education program.
