Use of e-books
As a student or employee at NLA, you can borrow and download books from EBSCO.
NLA University College subscribes to e-books through the EBSCO eBook Collection database. This is an interdisciplinary database and contains approximately 250,000 books in full text. Everyone has access to search this database through NLA's IP address. To download e-books, you must log in with your Feide user. This also gives you access to the database regardless of where you are.
The EBSCO eBooks app allows you to search and download books directly on your mobile phone or tablet, regardless of where you are, and can be downloaded for free from Google Play or iTunes. You can also use Bluefire Reader as an alternative to the app.
Two options for downloading e-books:
- Log in with Feide at Ebsco in a browser
- Download the EBSCO Ebooks app or Bluefire Reader to your mobile/tablet.
Once you have done one of these, you are ready to download e-books, via search in a browser or directly in the app.
