Student Democracy
Students at NLA are organised into two different student democratic bodies. The Student Parliament is common to all, regardless of study location. In addition, each study location has a student council.

Student Council
The student councils (SR) are the student body at the individual study locations, and the council primarily works with local issues. The student council is the natural link to the classes/groups and is therefore responsible for addressing issues and challenges that individual students raise.
SR consists of one representative from each class. The student council constitutes itself (elects a leader and the rest of the board). The board prepares cases, has contact with the administration, the academic management, the student parliament, and other student organizations.
Student Parliament
The Student Parliament (SP) represents all students at NLA University College (NLA) and is the highest student democratic body at NLA University College. SP works to ensure that you as a student have the best possible education and learning environment. The Student Parliament shall safeguard the interests of students at NLA and has the right to speak on behalf of all students.
The Student Parliament has representatives in all central councils and committees at NLA University College, also in external councils and committees such as the Norwegian Student Organization.
