During and After the Exchange Program
The exchange is underway – and now the real experience begins! Here you will find useful information to help you keep track and get the most out of your stay.
Checklist at the beginning of your stay
- Update your contact information on Studentweb
- If you switch to courses you have not had approved by NLA, submit a new application immediately: (link to the application form)
- For Erasmus+ students: Have the host institution sign the "Confirmation of Arrival" and send it to the Department of Internationalization at NLA.
- Remember to register your stay in the Reiseklar app. Then the Ministry of Foreign Affairs can send you important information about the country you are staying in.

Safety during exchange studies
It's wise to stay informed about where you can get help should you need it while you're on exchange. NLA, for example, has an agreement with the Norwegian Church Abroad, and their emergency phone is open 24/7.

- For Erasmus+ students: Answer the questionnaire that you will receive in the email after your stay
- Apply for final approval of courses at NLA after receiving the transcript from the host institution
