Study contract

The study contract is an agreement between you as a student and NLA University College. The agreement specifies what you as a student can expect from NLA University College, and what we expect from you as a student. You approve the study contract as part of the semester registration in Studentweb.

Studies and teaching

Students can expect

Teaching in accordance with approved plans for the study programs
Teaching plan/semester plan and calendar/room plan showing the set timetable and any changes.
To be informed about any changes in study plans and courses. It is NLA University College's responsibility to ensure that information about changes is provided within reasonable deadlines.
That NLA University College ensures that teachers and administration keep the information on Canvas as up-to-date as possible. This will be done through: Notice board and messaging service where information and messages are provided from the study administration and lecturers.
Feedback and approval of work requirements and assignments within reasonable deadlines.
That NLA University College gives notice in good time and no later than 7 days before, if teaching has to be moved. In the event of illness and acute situations, this deadline may have to be waived.

The university college can expect

That you keep yourself informed about the curriculum and associated course plans for your study program. This also applies to the time and scope of mandatory instruction.
That you use Canvas actively:

Read messages in your inbox regularly

Check weekly information that is provided

Keep yourself informed about teaching plans and room allocation

Submit assignments and read feedback on assignments, if it is determined that submission should take place in Canvas

Keep track of submitted/not submitted answers and work requirements and approval of these

Monitor attendance registration in courses where attendance is required

That you familiarize yourself with the content of NLA's study information, including exam times, deadlines for payment of tuition fees, registration for exams, and application for special exam arrangements.
That you keep yourself informed about current regulations at NLA University College. This includes: Regulations for studies at NLA University College and IT regulations for NLA University College
That you actively use Studentweb:

Semester registration each semester

Approval of education plan where applicable

Registration/control of registration for subjects, teaching and assessment. Correct registration gives access to Canvas in the relevant subjects

Control of financial status

Ordering of transcript of grades
