Tuition fees and other costs
Degree-seeking students
- Students holding an EU/EEA/Switzerland citizenship pay a subsidized study fee. The study fee varies according to the study programme but the ordinary study fee is 3900 NOK in the academic year 2024/25. This applies to our programmes taught in English.
- Student with nationalities other than EU/EEA/Switzerland pay a full tuition fee. The tuition fee varies according to the study programme but the ordinary tuition fee is 57 000 NOK per semester in the academic year 2024/25 and 72 000 NOK in the academic year 2025/26. This applies to our programmes taught in English. There are a few situations where the student may be exempt from the full tuition fee.
- In addition, all students pay a semester fee to the local student welfare organization (Sammen / SiA / SiO). The semester fee is between 500-700 NOK for the academic year 2024/25, depending on which campus you study at.
Please notice that non-EU/EEA/Switzerland citizens must document a sufficient funding when applying for a study permit. The required amount is 151 609 NOK per year for living costs (academic year 2024/25). Funding for the tuition fee must also be documented. For more information please see Immigration to Norway - UDI
NLA University College does not offer any scholarships for international students.
Exchange and Study Abroad students
- Erasmus+ students is exempt from paying tuition fee, as well as the semester- and study fee.
- Costs for other exchange or study abroad students depend on your nationality as well as the agreement your home institution has with NLA. The Norwegian government has implemented tuition fees for students with other than EU/EEA/Switzerland citizenship.
Please notice that non-EU/EEA/Switzerland citizens must document a sufficient funding for living costs when applying for a study permit. The required amount is 68 950 NOK for the autumn semester, and 82 740 NOK for the spring semester (academic year 2024/25). Funding for the tuition fee must also be documented.
