Students' mental health

In connection with World Mental Health Day, NLA University College is implementing a number of measures to raise awareness about mental health, as well as to provide support and resources that can contribute to better mental health.

In recognition of World Mental Health Day on October 10, NLA University College is focusing on students' health through various initiatives. National student surveys such as SHoT (Student Health and Well-being Survey) and the Study Barometer reveal a concerning trend, showing that many students struggle with mental health issues such as stress, anxiety, and depression.

Over the coming weeks, from weeks 39 to 42, NLA University College will launch several initiatives to address these challenges. Across different campuses, there will be lunch talks with psychologists discussing ways students can take care of themselves and support one another. Information stands, free breakfasts, and lectures will encourage courage and openness about mental health.

These initiatives are not only a response to concerning findings from national student surveys but are also an integral part of NLA University College's efforts to raise awareness of mental health, improve the learning environment, and promote student well-being.
