NLA offers a semester program in Intercultural Studies at campus Sandviken in Bergen, Western Norway. The program is offered in the spring semester (late January to late May/early June).
About the semester program
The semester program consists of three courses on bachelor level:
- Religion, Diversity and Transnational Processes, 10 ECTS
- Intercultural Approaches to Human Rights, 10 ECTS
- Diversity and Conviviality in Contemporary Societies, 10 ECTS
The courses consist of weekly lectures/seminars, where students are challenged to discuss and reflect on challenges and opportunities related to diversity, conviviality, religion, transnational processes and Human Rights.
The course seminars are research-based, practice-oriented, and student-centred. Through lectures, case studies, and group work, students also learn how theoretical research can be applied in the real world.
Students in the semester program in Intercultural Studies will be part of the second and third-year courses for the NLA’s full-degree bachelor students. The language of instruction is English.
