Vocation and Worship. The Spirituality of Christian Entrepreneurs
This article examines the spirituality of nine Christian entrepreneurs from Norway, investigating how they understand their involvement in entrepreneurship from a theological perspective. After a short review of relevant literature, we present the key findings of a qualitative, empirical study of a sample of Norwegian Christian entrepreneurs. Our findings reveal that the respondents perceive their faith as a formative and fundamental influence on their entrepreneurial endeavors. They describe their faith as inspiring them to make a difference and serve others through their work, even beyond their immediate context. The entrepreneurs view themselves as stewards and their work as a calling, even an act of worship. They express this in various ways, and it seems influenced by their denominational background. The results presented in this article will lay the foundation for further studies, offering a more comprehensive understanding of the work Christian entrepreneurs do and their theological motivation and commitments.
