Tools for everyday study

Canvas is the learning platform at NLA University College. Here you will find subjects, assignments and messages from lecturers.

Log in via nla.instructure.com, select NLA Høgskolen as affiliation, and use Feide account or ID-porten.

Timetable:
Teaching and room reservations are planned in TimeEdit.
When your education plan is approved in Studentweb, your personal timetable will automatically be visible in Canvas.

You can also see it directly in TimeEdit.

Subscribe to the timetable:

1. Log in to Canvas, and go to calendar.
2. Press Calendar stream at the bottom right.
3. Copy the link that appears.
4. Paste the link into the calendar you use.
   (For example Google calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar)

The calendar is updated automatically when changes occur in Canvas.

Note! If you want to see the timetable before the Canvas rooms are published, you can subscribe directly from TimeEdit. This must be set up again each semester, so subscription via Canvas is recommended.

Studentweb is used to register for the semester, sign up for exams, and keep your contact information updated.

How to log in:

1. Go to studentweb
2. Make sure NLA University College is selected as the institution.
3. Log in with your Feide user (studentnumber@nla.no), or via ID-porten.

After logging in, you can see your education plan, subjects, grades, and exam registrations.

For help with registration or changes, contact the study administration at your place of study.

All printers on campus support printing, copying and scanning.

First time - register your student card:

1. Go to SafeQ portal, and log in with your Feide account.

2. Find one-time password under My profile.

3. Scan your student card on a printer. Enter student number@nla.no, and the one-time password.
   (Missing a student card? Contact IT on campus)

Alternative method without student card:

1. Go to SafeQ portal, and log in with your Feide account.

2. Find PIN under My profile.

3. On the printer: Log in with PIN

Do the following to print:
Upload files to the SafeQ portal, scan the card on the printer (or log in with PIN), and print.

WISEflow is NLA University College's system for digital exams. Here you submit exam papers, or complete digital tests under supervision.

Checklist before the exam:

1. User account:
Test that you can log in to WISEflow with Feide or ID-porten. If you have problems, see the page Account and access.

Note: If you are located outside Norway, you must use EduVPN for access. See Network and software.

2. Software:
After you have logged in to WISEflow, you must download the necessary software:

1. Go to the exam (Flow) you will be participating in.
2. Look for a message and button asking you to prepare or install software for the exam, and follow the instructions for WISEflow.

3. Updates:
Make sure your computer has the latest updates installed (Windows/MacOS). This reduces the risk of technical problems.

4. Network:
Check that you can connect to Eduroam on campus. If you have problems, see the page Network and software.

Tips:

• On the front page of WISEflow you will find a button for "Demoflows". Feel free to test a demoflow to familiarize yourself with the system before the exam day.
• If you are going to have an exam with Device Monitor, we recommend saving the necessary files and notes in OneDrive or other cloud storage, so that you have access if you have to borrow a PC.

Artificial intelligence (AI) can be used as support in study work.

As a student at NLA University College, you have access to the following tools:

• Sikt KI - ki.sikt.no
